Additional info: OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE: Capture, edit, and publish social-first content (photo and video) that brings SKLZ’s products and training philosophy to life. Build a rapid content creation workflow to identify trends, pitch ideas, and deliver content within 24–48 hours when needed. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to align content with the editorial calendar, seasonal campaigns, and product launches. Ensure all content reflects SKLZ’s brand voice — authentic, high-performance, and athlete-focused. Stay on top of social media trends, cultural moments, and new platform features to continuously evolve creative output. Primary Responsibilities: Content Creation Concept, film, and edit social-first content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LIVE. Manage both long-term content capture (aligned to monthly calendars) and quick-turn reactive content (within 24–48 hours of trend spotting). Produce educational and inspirational videos that showcase SKLZ products in use, from drills and tutorials to athlete collaborations. Maintain a consistent posting cadence and support community engagement by responding to comments, DMs, and tags, when appropriate. Trendspotting and Ideation Monitor sports and social trends daily to identify relevant content opportunities. Pitch fresh, relevant ideas that blend social trends with Balega’s key stories and values. Experiment with new content formats, storytelling approaches, and creative tools to drive engagement. Brand Collaboration Work closely with the Social Media Manager, creative, and marketing teams to plan content around seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives. Collaborate with athletes, coaches, and partners for content capture that reflects authentic training environments. Maintain strong brand consistency across all content while keeping execution fresh and relevant. Key Skills: Strong understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta) and short-form video best practices. Skilled in shooting and editing video content using mobile or digital camera tools and editing apps (CapCut, Premiere Rush, etc.). Passion for authentic, community-driven storytelling. Comfortable being on camera while representing the brand. Creative, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail. Desired Skills and Experience: 1–2 years of experience in social media content creation, preferably in consumer, lifestyle, or athletic brands. Experience with influencer or ambassador programs is a plus. Familiarity with running, fitness, or wellness communities is strongly preferred. Photography or videography experience (professional or self-taught) is highly valued. Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
