Contestants and Host Needed for "Edmontask" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors casting contestants to take on fun, ridiculous, and occasionally humiliating new tasks, and they're also looking for a new show host, aka The Edmaster for "Edmontask" Show. Please, see the details below. Additional information: Submissions close Friday, Nov 21, 11:59 PM. An Edmontask contestant can be anyone: actor, comedian, teacher, accountant, or total wildcard. Seeking personalities who shine on camera and can roll with the chaos on stage. You can be bold, witty, awkward, anxious, etc. Whatever your vibe, bring your energy and authenticity. Already doing another Fringe show? No problem! Edmontask is flexible and happy to accommodate overlapping schedules. (Must be 18+ to apply.) The Edmaster: The host, judge and the co-face of the show who awards points for contestant performances. Seeking an experienced performer eager to make the role their own. This position requires less time commitment but full availability for all Fringe dates and promo shoots. When applying, please submit the following: To Apply as a Contestant: The subject line: "[FULL NAME] - 2026 Edmontask Contestant Application". Include: Full name + contact info; Artist resume/CV (if available); A video introduction (preferred) where you tell them who you are, why you want to join, and why you’d make a great contestant, then show directors something unique about yourself! (Talent, hobby, story, anything unique to you). If you can’t do video, you may submit written answers instead. You can expect: 1–2 filming days per month (Jan–June 2026), usually 1–2 hours each. Committed availability for the Fringe (mid-Aug 2026) and additional days in the lead-up for prep.
