About the project: This double feature of magic with consist of two productions- Imagine A Dragon and The Hobbit. - Produced by Alex Fritsch Imagine a Dragon - a musical directed by Melissa Amaral The staff of the struggling Dancing Dragon Inn has an idea to draw guests back to the empty inn—start a rumor that there’s a dragon nearby! Soon, the inn is filled with guests: a group of princesses out to prove their bravery and a group of heroes trying to hold on to their fame. But how long can the innkeepers keep up the ruse? What happens if everyone discovers that the dragon story is made up? Could there be another way to save the inn? The Hobbit - a play directed by John Davis A story every generation is familiar with, The Hobbit is a cozy and adventurous tale of being yourself and meeting others where you are. The story of 13 dwarves, a hobbit, and an old wizard journeying to a mountain to retrieve a stolen fortune from a dragon is well known and vast enough to spark the imagination of any wishful adventurer young or old. Additional info: If you are auditioning for Imagine A Dragon- please prepare a short vocal selection that shows off your vocal range and personality. Both shows will give a short scene from the script to be read. Performances are: January 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th (matinee performances only)
