"Still Life" Upcoming Movie Audition
Casting call (in-person/by appointment) for “Still Life” student film. Searching for cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: Logline: A young aspiring artist battles his father’s disapproval and family responsibility as he struggles to chase his dream of attending art school and must find the courage to stand up for his passion before it slips away forever. Additional info: A non union production. Shooting dates: to be announced - December. Actors, please apply for sides and an audition time slot. Also, if you cannot appear in-person to audition (11/1/25, 1-5pm), apply to inquire about the possibility of a virtual or self-taped audition.

On screen age 17-18. A timid yet imaginative young painter who dreams of an art career despite his father’s disapproval and family pressures. Beneath his calm surface lies a passionate artist ready to fight for his future. Latino descent preferred. Some painting or drawing experience helpful but not required; openness to learning art encouraged.
A proud and overworked father who confuses control with care. Burdened by responsibility, he resists his son’s artistic dreams in favor of what he believes is survival.
A whimsical and enthusiastic art teacher who sees Mateo’s potential and pushes him to pursue his dreams. Supportive and passionate about creativity, he becomes the guiding force behind Mateo’s next big step.
