Logline: An eighteen-year-old girl must confront her inner demons, both real and metaphorical, as they test her to see if she is worthy of life itself after a brush with death. Project description: Two filmmakers are passionate about exploring mental health through the lens of horror. While this is not a professional production, they approach the project with deep respect and dedication to the craft. This Side of Midnight follows Lilith as she confronts her literal demons and manifestations of her struggles with mental illness, who test her will to live. When she ultimately fails, she is tragically taken, symbolizing the devastating reality of losing the battle against one’s own mind. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: Production type: student film. Run time: short (16 minutes). Union status: non-union. Format: digital submission. Shooting schedule: mid-November (before Thanksgiving) table read, 11/8/25 at 12 (MST), location upon casting.
