The company is holding auditions for "HONK!", the delightful musical and looking for performers, please see the details below. Additional info: PERFORMANCES: March 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 2026 ALL PERFORMANCES AND TECH REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY ATTENDANCE. Confirm your availability for ALL tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals and performances on the following dates: Mandatory Tech Rehearsals: Sun March 8 (hold if needed), Sat March 14 and Sun Mar 15, (tbd usually 12 pm to 6 pm) Mandatory Dress Rehearsals: Mon Mar 16, Tue Mar 17, Wed Mar 18 from 5 pm until finished Hold for Final Dress Rehearsal: Thu, Mar 19, 5 pm until finished, Dark if possible. Mandatory Performances: Fri Mar 20, and Fri Mar 27, Performance 7-10 pm, Call time 5 pm Sat Mar 21, Sun Mar 22, Sat Mar 28 and Sun Mar 29 Performance 1 pm, Call time 11 am. The main character, a duckling who is different from his siblings, larger and in their eyes "uglier." Ugly is kind-hearted, awkward and innocent. His journey of self-discovery is the heart of the show. Tenor or high baritone.
Ugly’s loving and protective mother. Unlike the other animals she sees the good in Ugly and supports him unconditionally. Mezzo-Soprano
Ida’s husband and Ugly’s father. He’s somewhat lazy and sarcastic and not the most attentive parent. Baritone
The villain of the show. A sly and conniving feline who wants to eat Ugly. Poses as a friend at first to lure him away. Tenor or high baritone.
A comical moorhen who is a bit of a gossip. Often provides comic relief. Mezzo Soprano
(Downy, Beaky, Fluff, Billy)-Ugly’s siblings. They tease him and reject him for being different
A beautiful swan who Ugly meets later in the story. She becomes his friend and love interest. Soprano
A happy-go-lucky frog who sings "Warts and All." Teaches Ugly to embrace his uniqueness. Baritone.
Greylag- A pompous British goose who leads a military-style gaggle. Baritone
Greylag’s partner and second-in-command. Acts like a military wife and organizer. Mezzo Soprano
A high-strung and dramatic chicken who dislikes surprises. Mezzo or Soprano
A cowardly bird who is paranoid about being eaten at Thanksgiving. Comic relief
The most distinguished duck on the lake, seen as royalty by the others. Mezzo Soprano
A sophisticated and stylish house cat who lives with Lowbutt. She is sassy, refined and unimpressed by the Cat's charm. Mezzo or Soprano
A nosy and protective chicken who lives in the same house as Queenie. She is loyal and distrusts strangers. Mezzo
