About the project: Get ready for Disaster!, the laugh-out-loud musical comedy packed with ‘70s hits, outrageous calamities, and over-the-top fun! A glamorous floating casino turns into chaos as earthquakes, tidal waves, and infernos strike, sending its eccentric guests into a whirlwind of romance, peril, and disco fever. Featuring hit songs like "Knock on Wood," "Hooked on a Feeling," and "I Will Survive," this riotous spoof of classic disaster movies will have you grooving in your seat and laughing all night. Will true love triumph? Will the disco ball survive? Find out in this high-energy, feel-good musical adventure! Additional info: Please prepare a song (approximately 32 bars, or 60 - 90 seconds of music) in the show's style. An accompanist will be provided, so please bring sheet music for the accompanist to play. Performing with an accompanist is strongly preferred, but you may provide tracks if you do not have sheet music. Please note: Amplification will not be provided, and playing backing tracks off a cell phone (without proper additional amplification) is strongly discouraged. Rehearsals will begin in mid- to late November. They will be based on the availability of both performers and production staff, so please submit all known conflicts at the time of auditions. The Milburn Stone Theatre traditionally rehearses between 2 and 4 times a week. Tech Week will be held Sunday, February 22 through Thursday, February 26, no conflicts will be accepted for these dates. If interested, please apply.
