"Scary Fun" Feature Horror Film Seeks Talents
Scary Fun is feature length horror spoof film about a group of teenagers who unwillingly become characters in a slasher film as they are targeted by a masked serial killer attempting to make his own slasher spoof film using them as his characters. The film is planning on being a SAG production and plans on casting both union and nonunion actors. Filming will be taking place this upcoming May over the course of 16 days filming Thursday-Sunday. Rehearsals and meetings will be taking place February-April. The short film adaptation of the film was an official selection at the Oscar-Qualifying LA Shorts Fest in 2024.

Late teens, early 20's; Hispanic/Latina female; Brea is the horror/true crime junkie of the group. She has a bit of an edge to her and has a bit of an alternative, slightly goth vibe to her. Her knowledge of the horror genre comes in handy once the murders begin but it also makes her a suspect.
Late teens, early 20's; Caucasian male; Dylan is the nice, quiet one of the group. He's the nice guy always coming to the defense of those around him. Despite being the nice, nerdy guy you'd bring home to mom, he's the type of passive guy who often ends up in the friendzone due to his lack of aggression. His mom is one of the police officers working the case.
Late teens, early 20's; Caucasian male; Aaron is the asshole jock of the group who puts others down for his own amusement and displays a plethora of narcissistic qualities, he's Chelsea's boyfriend and their egos tend to feed off of each other.
Late teens, early 20's; Caucasian male; Rider is the class clown/jokester of the group who often offends people with his crude humor and unwillingness to take anything seriously. Even when the murders begin, Rider can't help but make jokes about the situation. Although he can be annoying at times to his friends, they still admire him as they know his heart is in the right place.
Late teens; early 20's; African American female; Jasmine is very outspoken and tells it exactly like it is. You'll always know what she's thinking as she isn't afraid to speak her mind. When the murders begin to occur, Jasmine's reactions to the murders often provides comedic relief for her friends.
Late teens, early 20's; Caucasian female; Chelsea is the self absorbed, superficial, very attractive cheerleader who only cares about and tends to make everything about herself. While initially she seems very self-centered and shallow, something ends up happening which causes her to become more vulnerable and open with the others.
