Cynical but intelligent; a loner with sharp wit and guarded warmth. Smokes, wears layers, carries emotional weight beneath a dry sense of humour. Not the kind of person easily impressed or easily fooled.
Earnest, slightly awkward, overdressed for casual encounters. Tries too hard but means well. His optimism borders on naïveté, yet there's sincerity and self-awareness beneath the surface.
Warm, chatty, and delightfully unaware. Represents a gentle contrast to the guarded leads someone from another world, grounding the story in small-town charm.
Appears briefly in the final shot a woman in a red scarf sitting with a giant stuffed panda, waiting expectantly. No dialogue, but essential for the film's closing irony.
