About the project: "The Homies" follows G, a 16-year-old eager to prove himself to his older friends on what starts as a chill night out. But when a gun-wielding acquaintance pulls them into something darker, G gets a harsh lesson in loyalty, fear, and how fast the line between fun and danger can blur. It’s a tense, character-driven short about friendship, peer pressure, and the moment innocence gets tested. Think Mid90s meets Menace II Society, told through the eyes of a kid trying to belong in a world that could swallow him whole. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer. Unstable, intense, and unpredictable. He can be funny one second and frightening the next. He carries himself with confidence and danger, someone who has seen real violence and is comfortable in it. Tone/Performance Notes: The danger should come from how casual he is about doing violent things. Play him real and grounded, not over the top.
