Auditions for Musical "Into the Woods"
"Into the Woods" musical needs cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: "The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results." Additional info: Please prepare a 32-bar (about 1 minute) cut of a song similar to the genre (patter, Sondheim, acting-focused song). No pop style. You may sing from the show if you'd like. Bring one copy of the sheet music for the accompanist. Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume. Callbacks on Saturday November 22 from 10am-6pm. People who are invited to callbacks should be prepared to move, as well as perform provided vocal and acting sides as needed for the roles. Please be prepared to stay the entire time. There will be a meal break midday and many will be released early depending on roles they're called back for. Rehearsals: Mondays-Fridays from 6-10pm beginning January 20. If needed, Saturday rehearsals could be added some weekends. Technical Rehearsals: Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1 from 10am – 10pm. Dress Rehearsals: March 2-5 from 5pm – 10pm. Performances: March 6-15, 2026 | Thursday, Fridays & Saturdays at 7pm; Sundays at 2pm. Actors will be called at least one hour before performances begin.
