A quiet but strong-willed 17-yaer-old, wrestling with grief, loneliness and a creeping sense that reality is slipping away. Caley’s intelligence and sensitivity make her perceptive and vulnerable to what lurks beneath the surface. Torn between her mother’s protection and her father’s mysterious return, she becomes the emotional and psychological center of the story. A role that demands depth, fragility & raw intensity of a young woman fighting to reclaim her truth in a world that may not be real
A meticulous professional and fiercely devoted mother (mid 40s) who’s built her life around control. Renée hides her fear behind logic and routine, but the return of her long-lost husband cracks that composure. Her love for her daughter runs deep but so do the secrets she’s buried to protect her. A character balancing grief, guilt, and quiet strength on the edge of collapse.
Charismatic but frayed, Shane (late 40s) is a drifter with a soft voice and haunted eyes. Once loving and idealistic, years of obsession and guilt have eroded his grip on reality. His return is both tender and unnerving, forcing everyone to question whether he’s a victim of trauma or a vessel for something darker. Magnetic, unpredictable, and deeply human beneath the menace.
The friend everyone wishes they had: open-hearted, witty, and protective. Elise (17-year-old) is Caley’s emotional anchor and connection to normal life. Her curiosity and compassion pull her deeper into the family’s mystery, testing her courage and loyalty. A role that balances youthful energy with quiet emotional intelligence.
