McMurphy as he challenges the rigid authority of Nurse Ratched in a battle of wills that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Packed with unforgettable characters and emotional depth, this stage adaptation of the classic novel and film is a must-see theatrical experience. Additional info: Please prepare a one-to-two-minute monologue that showcases your ability to play a character truthfully. Cold readings will also be provided. Callbacks will be by invitation only and will take place on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. A light rehearsal schedule to begin the week of 12/1 with limited rehearsals due to the holidays based on actor availability. Rehearsals will then increase to 3-4x/week after the new year. Exact rehearsal schedule will be set once the availability of all actors is learned but will take place during weekday evenings and weekends (depending on role and when called). BEFORE YOU AUDITION, be advised that all actors must be available for rehearsals that are to be scheduled according to the actor's role. A loud, devilish, gambler. A con man, and a backroom brawler. Exudes personality and charisma. He was sentenced to six months at a prison work farm, and fakes a diagnosis as a psychopath to spend his sentence in the psych ward.
The head of the hospital ward. She masks her humanity and femininity behind a stiff, mechanical, patronizing façade. She controls her patients by calculating, and pinpointing each of their weaknesses for their own benefit.
The huge, bull?muscled, half?breed son of an Indian chief. He has been in the hospital for more than ten years, longer than any other patient in the ward. He fakes being deaf and mute as a means of self-preservation.
A shy and childish man with a bad stutter. He seems younger than he is. Dominated by his mother and has a history of attempts against his own life.
College?educated with a sharp mind and tongue. An effeminate, but terribly repressed man whose shame dictates his life decisions. He is President of the Patients' Council.
