LEAD (appears 20-24). An anxious student constantly overwhelmed by deadlines, expectations, and family pressure. Runs on coffee and adrenaline, but internally he’s fragile, vulnerable and afraid of failing.
SUPPORTING (ACTRA Preferably). Brian’s older sister, independent, protective and bluntly honest, but deeply caring. She’s the only one who dares to confront Brian about his destructive cycle.
SUPPORTING (ability to have a Western European accent). Store employee. Calm, patient, but upsettingly perceptive. His presence feels both ordinary and otherworldly, leaving it unclear if he’s a real person or a manifestation of Brian’s mind. He can shift from warm and fatherly to cold and piercing within a minute.
SUPPORTING (ACTRA Preferably) (ability to have a Caribbean, African, or Toronto accent). Store employee. Alert, sarcastic and slightly comedic relief in an otherwise heavy story. He grounds the store in normalcy, but his presence highlights Brian’s bizarre reality.
