Singing Audition for Musical "Anastasia"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers for musical "Anastasia". Please, see the details below. Additional information: Rehearsals for Anastasia will commence on or around November 27, 2025 and will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM plus additional Saturdays as outlined below: • January 10, 2026: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM • January 17 ,2026: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM • January 31, 2026: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Marketing Day) • February 14, 2026: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM • February 28, 2026: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM There will be a Christmas break from rehearsals, December 22 – January 2, 2026. Please note that on occasion, performers will be called earlier than regular rehearsal start times for costume fittings, costume parades and publicity photo shoots. Tech week for each production is scheduled for the week leading up to opening night. Rehearsals typically are held every night during this week. Tech week for Anastasia will be March 9 - 12, 2026. Anastasia will run March 13 & 14, 18 – 21, 25 - 28, 2026 @ 7:30 PM with matinees on March 14, 21, 22, 28 & 29 at 2:00 PM in Abbotsford. Please, see the attachment. If you're interested, please apply.

Mezzo-Soprano. Fierce, scrappy, proud, and a fighter. Full of hope, courageous, resilient and tough, but maintains her elegance and regality. Honest, intelligent, and street-smart. Will not be taken advantage of or talked down to. Perceptive and observant.
Tenor. Handsome guy, tough exterior, street smart. A survivor. A prince among thieves. Determined schemer but has a kind heart. Has no qualms about taking advantage of the rich and the system. Hates Soviet Russia and wants out. Father was an anarchist, leading to his own restlessness and scrappiness. Temperamental, impatient.
Bari-Tenor. Handsome, down-to-earth, good-natured semiscoundrel. Playful and irresistible. Perceptive, imaginative, compassionate, charming. Takes life as it comes. In the past was an aristocratic masquerader, manipulating rich women out of their money.
Tenor. Young Soviet official ambitious to move up in the Soviet administrative ranks. Manipulative, no-nonsense. Has great faith in the Soviet experiment, of equality for all and the coming prosperity if everyone works hard. Dogged determination to shut down the old ways and attempts to revive them. Haunted by and smitten with Anya but also determined to fulfill his duty to Russia and carry out his orders.
Mezzo-Soprano. Beautiful, voluptuous, seductive, hot-blooded, and passionate. Lady-in-waiting to the Dowager Empress. Controls her calendar and who is admitted entrance to see her. Had a torrid affair with Vlad many years ago.
Alto. Once the proud, strong, and assertive Empress of Russia, she is now a heartbroken, impatient and discouraged old woman.
Featured Singing Role. Tenor, Featured Soloist. Aristocrat and intellectual who is finally ready to leave Russia. Sees regality in Anya. Heartbroken over what has happened to his homeland and that he has to flee. Still maintains great love for Russia.
Featured Singing Role. Gleb’s superior officer. Soloist. Hard-nosed and lethal in his objective to squash dissent and eliminate Anastasia.
Supporting Role. Mother of the Romanov Family.
Supporting Role. Father of the Romanov Family.
Supporting Role. A distant member of the Romanov family living in Paris who is angling to inherit the Romanov fortune.
