About the project: This classic Broadway musical full of charm, wit, and show-stopping numbers. Whether you’re a high-rolling gambler, a mission-minded saint, or somewhere in between, this show has a spot for you. Additional info: When You Arrive: Check in at the front desk to sign in. You may have a quick headshot taken and sometimes a costume measurement. A staff member will be available to answer questions and help you feel comfortable. Your Audition: 1. Vocal Audition Prepare a song cut of about one minute. Choose something in the style of the show you’re auditioning for. An accompanist will be provided—please bring clearly marked sheet music. 2. Dance Audition After singing, you’ll be taught a short dance routine. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing you can move in. Callbacks: Callbacks may include: Singing selections from the show. Learning another dance. Reading scenes with other actors. Not being called back does not mean you won’t be cast—callbacks simply help gather more information. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, November 23rd, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Rehearsals begin December 15, with a break for the holidays before resuming in January. Rehearsals are typically held on weeknights from 6:30 to 10:30 PM. Cast members may not be called for every rehearsal, but unless a conflict has been previously noted, full availability is expected. Final Rehearsals: Beginning Monday, February 2, they enter technical rehearsals and final run-throughs. It is strongly requested that there be no conflicts from this date forward. You may not be called for every rehearsal, but unless you’ve submitted a conflict in advance, you are expected to be available during these times. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be shared once the show is cast and directors’ve reviewed the cast’s availability. They’ll do their best to accommodate known conflicts shared at the time of audition. Performances: February 13–15 & 20–22. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, Sundays at 2:00 PM. Additional performances may be added based on ticket sales, including possible Saturday matinees, Sunday evening shows, or an extra weekend (February 28–March 1). If you are interested, please apply.

A high-stakes gambler whose luck never seems to run out, and a wild card who surprises himself when he falls in love with the unlikeliest of women. Suave, smart, handsome. Male presenting. Vocal range: B3 to E5.
A pretty, bright-eyed woman who serves as the Sergeant of the local Mission. She fully believes in her worthy cause and wishes to convert the gambling sinners to saints. Falls unexpectedly in love with Sky along the way. She is prudish and uptight, but eventually lets go. Female presenting. Vocal range B3 to G5.
A good-hearted gambler and craps game organizer who could never hit the big time. He loves Adelaide, but cannot quit his gambling ways. A broke schemer with unwitting ways. Male presenting. Vocal range: D4 to F5.
Nathan’s fiancé is a lead performer at the Hot Box nightclub. She loves Nathan more than anything in the world and desperately wants to get married. Pretty, outspoken, stubborn. Female presenting. Vocal range: A3 to E5.
Just like his name suggests, he is the nicest and cheeriest of the gambling crooks. High-spirited and a bit naïve, but sincere and genuine. Nathan’s loyal friend and lackey. Male presenting. Vocal range: D4 to B5.
Nathan’s right-hand man and a gambler himself. Smart, slick, always moving and shaking, but with what he thinks are Nathan’s best interests at heart. Male presenting. Vocal range: D4 to G5.
The bass drum and cymbal player in the Mission band is Sarah’s loving grandfather. Wise and sweet, he wants nothing but the best for her. Male presenting. Vocal range: D4 to F5.
A crook and gambler. He is a tough guy with dollar signs as his bottom line. Brings Big Jule into Nathan’s craps game and backs his cheating, but is also a man of his word in the gambling community. Male presenting. Vocal range: F3 to G5.
A New York police officer who is on to Nathan’s illegal craps games and is dead-set on catching him. A tough, no-nonsense character. Male presenting.
A big-time craps player from Chicago who uses a gun and his own pair of rigged dice to bully his way into never losing. Tough looking. A bit of an oaf. Male presenting. Vocal range: F3 to G5.
Regional representative of the Salvation Army. Powerful, matronly, no-nonsense with a formidable presence and, it transpires, a sense of humor. Female presenting. Vocal range: Mezzo.
A chorus of performers who back up Adelaide in her nightclub act. Dancing, singing, and character performance are required. They perform two numbers with Adelaide & will double into other aspects of the ensemble.
