Equity actors for roles in "The Marvelous Wonderettes". See breakdown below. Rate: TYA $662 weekly minimum - Actor/ASM All roles will be Actor/ASM. Additional info: Seeking energetic, multi-cultural, dynamic performers (18+) with warm personalities who are strong movers with excellent stage presence and musicality. Comfortable singing in various styles and excellent at learning/retaining vocal parts. Those who have facility communicating with young audiences are encouraged to audition. Performers should be comfortable with early morning call times and performances. All ethnicities are encouraged to attend. 18+ for local Equity TYA tour of The Marvelous Wonderettes (TYA Edition). Audition lunch 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. PREPARATION: Please prepare a musical theater or pop song in the style of the show (1950s pop). Also, bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Callbacks will be held on Friday November 14, 2025. Full Dates: January 5-March 27, 2026 (weekdays only). Rehearsals: January 5-January 16, 2026 (weekdays only). First Performance: On or around January 16, 2026.  Closing: On or around March 27, 2026. All performances take place during morning hours in New York City public elementary and middle schools in the five boroughs. When possible, there is a short Q&A session with the students directly following performances. All actors must report to the early morning call time. Transportation to and from school performance locations is provided and departs each day. Actor/ASMs are not required to drive company transportation. PLEASE NOTE: All actors are hired as Actor/ASMs and will be required to load in/load out sets, costumes and sound equipment at each performance location. Workday will begin with early mornings into mid-afternoon; when performances begin, expect call times as early as 6am. EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided. Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Cindy LouBoth genders18-26 y.o.All ethnicities

Female Identifying. She thinks of herself as the prettiest girl at Springfield High. She knows she will be named Prom Queen and acts out against her best friend Betty Jean when things don’t go her way. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano Belt: E3–F5. Sings melody line on most songs, so the other girls hang their vocals on this voice.

MissyBoth genders18-26 y.o.All ethnicities

Female Identifying. She is the over-achiever of the group. Very controlled, very concerned that everything at the prom turns out wonderful and perfect. Head of the Prom Decorations Committee, and absolutely smitten with her music teacher. Her best friend is Suzy. Vocal Range: Soprano: G3–A5. Wide range, floating high vocals and belting throughout the show.

Betty JeanBoth genders18-26 y.o.All ethnicities

Female Identifying. She is the class clown and tomboy, always vying for attention with Cindy Lou, her best friend. Cindy Lou steals Betty Jean’s boyfriend away, which causes a lot of the friction at the prom. Vocal Range: Alto with strong low range: D3–E5.

SuzyBoth genders18-26 y.o.All ethnicities

Female Identifying. She is the gum-chewing, happy-go-lucky, go-along girl. Super-best friends with Missy, Suzy is always a little giddy and silly and finds great pleasure in everything she does. completely surprised when named Prom Queen. An excellent part singer and expert comedienne. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Alto with both sweet and soulful voice: G3–E5.
