Have you ever dreamed of belting “Defying Gravity,” but you’re a baritone? Secretly longed to be Javert when you’re usually cast as Cosette? Auditions for Miscast Cabaret – a one-night-only musical theatre cabaret where the rules of traditional casting go out the window. Gender, age, type, vocal range—none of it matters. This is your chance to perform the role you’d never get... but would absolutely slay. Additional info: WHAT TO PREPARE: *32 bars of a musical theatre song you’d *never* be cast in—but always wanted to sing. A speaker will be provided; please have a karaoke track prepared or sing a cappella. *Be ready to briefly explain your song choice and what makes it your "miscast dream role." NOTE: This is a celebration of talent, inclusivity, and fearless fun. Directors encourage bold choices, big personalities, and heartfelt performances. Let’s turn the casting table.
