About the project: In the heart of a neon-lit city that never sleeps, a solitary man loses his only companion, his cat. What begins as a frantic search through the city streets and shadowy alleyways soon transforms into a surreal journey of self-discovery. As he follows faint traces of the feline through city streets, midnight laundromats, and city parks, he crosses paths with strangers whose quiet wisdom and mysterious presence begin to shift his perspective. Each encounter draws him deeper into the emotional landscape of the city and his own self. Shot in the dreamlike styles of Wong Kar-wai, "Nine Lives" reflects on loneliness, longing, and the unexpected ways we rediscover connection, even in the simplicity of finding a cat.
