Actors Required for Upcoming Stage Play
Auditions for "The Farndale Avenue House Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society's A Christmas Carol". Looking for actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. About the project: In a festive mood the Ferndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society ladies mount yet another assault on the classics with their stage version of “a Christmas Carol“. Enthusiasm, their middle name, and with the support of their stage manager, Gordon, the cast presents a dizzy array of characters from the Dickensian favorite (and a few who aren’t) under the ever – battling leadership of Thelma and Mrs. Reese. Of course, no Farndale evening would be quite completed without those wayward touches of ingenuity for which the ladies are so justly famed, so, in truly sparkling form, Mrs. Reese engineers some novel audience participation, while bravely contending with the chattily – intrusive PA system. “Another classic, dramatic massacre with an awesome, convincing Idiocracy, that enthralls, despite one’s better judgment.” Additional info: Please Note: This is a comedic show and you must have good comedic timing. Chemistry is important so no video submissions will be accepted. There will be cold reads with no sides available pre-auditions. These women are British so a British accent of some sort is mandatory. (directors will refine them during rehearsals if necessary). REHEARSALS: Monday- Thursday from 7-9:30 (potential Fridays if needed). Tech week is December 1st-December 4th. NO ABSENCES PERMITTED.
