"Me and My Daddy" Short Movie Seeking Cast
Casting call for a short film "Me and My Daddy". Looking for actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. About the project: A film that addresses family, substance abuse, resilience, and hope. The film follows Mish, an Appalachian boy with a speech delay, who is awarded a weekend custody visit with his recently incarcerated father. Rate: All roles paid. Has been recently incarcerated for petty theft due to addiction issues. He is a complex and intelligent person in a life crisis with the love of his only son at stake.
A single mother of three children. Though it isn't easy to simultaneously manage and provide for her kids, she is both determined and fiercely loving.
(60-75). A loving matriarch. She is the glue holding her dysfunctional family together.
(65-80). Has early Parkinson's and spends his time walking in the house, resting in his bed, and sitting on the front porch. He feels out of touch with his adult children and has been known to enable his son's addiction.
Grew up in his older brother's shadow, is a high achiever with big ideas. Mark often gets frustrated with his parents' leniency towards his brother's addiction.
