Paid Web Series "Destination Oshawa" Needs Cast

About the project: Hannah is suddenly appointed director of the Oshawa Tourism Board due to her boss’s unexpected passing. She is tasked with getting Oshawa off the “Worst Cities in Canada” list by the end of the year. With almost no resources or time, it’s up to Hannah to inspire her chaotic team and fulfill her promise of putting Oshawa on the map (in a good way). Rate: Non union. Daily honorarium CAD $200/Day - please note cast for this project are working on an equity daily honorarium. Additional information: SHOOTING LOCATIONS: Richmond Hill + Oshawa. Lead. Episode: 1-4. Appearance: Brown Hair, sweet face. Neat, tidy, formal wear in the office. Patagonia vests, khakis on field trips. Think Gabe Lewis (The Office).
Lead. Episode: 1-4. Appearance: 5’2, petite, unassuming student. Newest intern at Oshawa City Hall. Was reassigned to the Tourism Task Force. In a constant state of panic. She wants to please everyone all the time but is constantly second guessing herself.
Lead. Episode: 1-4. Stocky, older, greying a bit but also dyes her hair. Business casual, but stopped updating her wardrobe in the 90s.
Recurring. Episode: 1-2, 4. Appearance: Tall, athletic, greying. Suit with no tie kind of guy, but always a flashy pocket square. On fridays and weekends he wears his golf attire. Think Richard Greenwood, (Workin’ Moms)
OCP. Episode: 2. Appearance: White, thin and kind of scrawny. Slim shady like. Oshawa generals jersey. Knock off designer hat and shoes. Chain. Energetic, passionate, feels his emotions and is confident in them, which can make him a prima donna. The fashion of J Roc, the delivery of Western U frat bro, and the sincerity of a “cool” youth pastor.
OCP. Episode: 2,4. Appearance: White, grisled beard, weary eyes, military surplus gear, phone mounted on a chest rig. Husky, but strong with a surprising range of movement, like a former soldier who’s stopped training. About Character: Gord is a conspiracy-minded “truth warrior” who proudly identifies as a sovereign citizen. He spends his days moderating threads on Truth Social, and uploading videos of his “auditing” police and other government workers to his pro-freedom channel.
OCP. Episode: 3. Appearance: Middle aged man who is neither physically matching nor dressed for the part of Samuel.
OCP. Episode: 3. Appearance: Teddy Roosevelt aesthetic. Neatly trimmed, but bushy mustache. Balding, broad shoulders, stern, sharp eyes. (Think the real Samuel McLaughlin)
OCP. Episode: 4 Appearance: Thinning white/grey uncombed hair, beer belly, red face, weathered skin. Slow moving and a slow vocal pace. He never wants to finish his sentence because it’ll give the listener a chance to leave. Vintage, worn rumpled clothes. A hat that looks like he’s been wearing it for 50 years
OCP. Episode: 4. Appearance: Mid-40s, attractive but not delicate, with a confident, professional presence. Simple hair, and a face showing experience rather than youth. Blazer, smart blouse, tailored slacks. Carries a small microphone with the channel logo, Minimal jewelry.
OCP. Episode: 4. Appearance: Medium build, white, dark hair. Nerdy, glasses, thrift ed clothes or ones he picked up at Costco.
