Seeking performers for "White Christmas" Play. Please see the details below. About the project: Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean,” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages. Additional info: Auditionees should arrive prepared to sing a short vocal piece (under one minute) in classic Broadway style, which showcases their own unique style and voice. Please bring sheet music or a digital accompaniment track. Accompanist and Bluetooth speaker provided. Auditionees will do a short cold reading from the script. These materials will be available upon arrival in the lobby. Callbacks: October 15. Will include a dance/movement audition. Baritone / tenor The fun-loving song-and-dance partner of Bob Wallace. Phil is a clownish ladies’ man who is determined to see his friend find true love, even if that involves scheming and deception. He has a boyish charm. Must move well and learn choreography.
Rich Mezzo-Soprano Sensible, responsible half of the Haynes Sisters. Classic elegance and style. Devoted to and protective of her sister. Must move well and manage choreography.
Strong Alto belt Younger, more ambitious half of the Haynes Sisters. She is wholesome and adorable, sexy, flirty, and scheming. Must move well and manage choreography.
Ensemble vocals or non-singing Retired Army general with a curmudgeonly military exterior, adjusting to retired life in post WWII America. Precise, orderly, but compassionate and warm.
Mezzo / Alto Once a Broadway star, now the General’s housekeeper. Dry wit and a wisecracking sense of humor. A big-hearted meddler. Strong singer/ mover with a Broadway belt.
Ensemble vocals Jokester Army buddy of Bob and Phil’s, now a major television executive. Fast talking, loud, brash New York professional.
