Actors Needed for Short Student Films
Casting call for short student films for a television program. Looking for cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. Additional info: Self-tape. Non-Union. Directors are casting for two short films to be produced over the next two to three weekends. Each film is no longer than 2 days of production. For the teens, they are open to adults who can realistically play teenagers. Filming: weekends late September/early October 2025. When applying, please include a self-tape using one of the sides attached.

An insightful teenage girl, that is concerned about how rising seawater levels are affecting her Little Haiti neighborhood. Camila is increasingly concerned and has a deep desire to preserve the memories of a neighborhood she can no longer recognize. Camila’s parents are not with her, and she is afraid of losing her family home. "Saltwater Rising"
Camila’s best friend. A shy teenage girl who is doing her best to support understand Camila’s environmental anxiety, even though she doesn’t feel the same way about the changes their community has been experiencing. (filmmaker says she always imaginged her with freckles) "Saltwater Rising"
Camilas’s mid-60s grandfather. Visibly graying, scruffy bear, uses a cane. Doesn’t believe in the dangerous effects that hurricanes and rising tides have had in his neighborhood. "Saltwater Rising"

17-year-old, captain of the volleyball team, struggles to reconcile her increasing interest in her role as a youth church leader, and her responsibilities as captain of her championship winning team. "The Locker Room"
Mikayla’s loving mother works as a nurse. "The Locker Room"
Volleyball player, she is the youngest member. Trinity is shy and afraid to engage in any confrontation. Even though she shares in Jaz’s concerns, conflict makes her extremely uncomfortable. "The Locker Room"
