Seeking Actors for Production of "On The Air"

The company is holding auditions for "On the air" Show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Are you listening? CJLN ‘The Loon’ is the fourth most popular local radio station in south-south-east-Northlamburton county – but no one is listening. With an insubordinate intern, egotistical DJs, and the local arts council, station manager, Alice, has her hands full… and then Matt arrives. Matt is a marketing wiz and has a lot of ideas to revitalize the station. When he gets carried away in his efforts, it’s up to his friends, and fellow ‘Loon’ employees, to remind him of who he is and what makes the station charming and quirky. On The Air is a comedy about family, ambition, rock and roll, and dreams pursued in the unlikeliest of places. NOTE: Kiss between Matt & Alice on Page 90. We are unable to cast equity or Actra members.) callbacks (if needed) will be held in person also at the village playhouse: Wednesday, October 8, from 7:00pm rehearsals & performances will be held at the village playhouse. Rehearsals are normally Tuesdays and Thursdays (evenings) and Sundays (afternoons) but are flexible depending on actor availability. Special rehearsal dates scheduled on Monday evening, December 22 and Friday evening, January 2, 2026 due to holiday period. Holidays: no rehearsals scheduled on Christmas eve, Christmas day, boxing day, new year’s eve, and new year’s day. First readthrough: Sunday, October 19 at 2:30pm. All actors must be available for: Tech week (Sunday, January 4, 2026, to Wednesday, January 7, 2026). Preview performance (Thursday, January 8, 2026). Performances: all 14 performances (January 9-10, 2026, January 14-18, 2026, January 22-25, 2026, and January 29-31, 2026). Opening night: patron wine and cheese after opening night, January 9 (approx. 20-30 minutes). Talkback with audience after the last Thursday show, January 29 (approx. 20 minutes). PREPARATION: Optional one minute monologue. Sides will be provided at the auditions. You’re welcome to arrive early to review the scenes.
