Casting Call for "Death of an Artist" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Actors wanted or "Death of an Artist" film. More details are below. About the project: Julian Hayes, an art professor, becomes envious of his talented student, Spencer Wells, as they both compete for recognition at the Grand Art Gallery. Julian's jealousy leads him to sabotage Spencer's painting. Although a part of him is consumed by guilt, he is simultaneously relieved that Spencer has withdrawn from the competition, only to be devastated when Spencer takes first place, leaving him in second. Spencer later reveals that he has known all along about Julian's envy and the sabotage, plotting against him. Rate: Insurance & Catering will be paid for. Julian is a is an ambitious artist who paints and is also a professor who teaches university students, art. He's ambitious, petty and pompous. Filled with envy and jealousy.
Spencer Wells is a first year university student who is also an aspiring artist. He's almost like a young prodigy, genius, disobedient and competitive. Think of the underdog.
Irene has a bubbly personality very extroverted and enthusiastic. Her dad basically owns the gallery so she’s very proud of it. She’s known for Julian for quite some time and she’s helped Julian sell a bunch of his works because she gets a portion of that profit. So she basically needs him to be good. She’s a bit materialistic in that sense.
She’s an experienced therapist. She works with mostly adult patients. She is reserved, attentive and she’s an empathetic person. She met Julian at the gallery one time because her husband is also an artist. She just happened to talk to him at the gallery and they just exchanged business cards. Julian just found out how unstable he is after he sabotaged Spencer so he decides to go to therapy to search for an excuse for his act.
