"A Christmas Carol" Show Casting Men and Women
Theatre is proud to announce the upcoming auditions for "A Christmas Carol". In need of cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the details below. About the project: This holiday tradition is bound to be a hit with local families this holiday season. Rate: This is a non-paid performing opportunity. Additional info: No experience is necessary. Headshots and resumes are encouraged but not required. PREPARATION - PERFORMERS: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and a holiday carol. There will be caroling during the show, so please prepare one verse and chorus (no longer than one minuteof your favorite Christmas carol or holiday song to sing at the audition. (No more than 1 minute). You may sing either a cappella or with a backing track on your device. If you have an iPhone, please bring a dongle adaptor to plug into our sound system. Monologues are not required but are welcome. Production dates: December 18 - 21, 2025, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm, Saturday & Sunday at 2:00 pm. Lead. The miserable antagonist of the play. He undergoes a change of spirit throughout the story, and in the end, he finds the Spirit of Christmas is alive and well within him.
Supporting. Bob Cratchit is Scrooge's assistant. He puts up with no end of insults and injuries from Scrooge and yet he perseveres. He is the breadwinner for his family of 8 and has no choice but to work for Scrooge.
Supporting. Jacob Marley is the ghost of Scrooge's partner who died and is eternally tormented by the choices that he made when he was alive. He comes back to warn Scrooge that if he doesn't change his ways, Scrooge will suffer his awful fate.
Supporting. Fred is Scrooge's only nephew from his sister, Fannie, who passed away. He tries his best to drag Scrooge into the Christmas Spirit.
Supporting. Age of character is 18. This is the Scrooge who was engaged to Emily but chose his business over their love.
Supporting. Ghost of Christmas Past is the ethereal ghost who begins to teach Scrooge about the way that his past has affected his present, showing him that he used to love Christmas.
Supporting. Ghost of Christmas Present is a jolly old soul who shows Scrooge the truth which is happening all around him, and the way that he affects those in his sphere.
Supporting. Ghost of Christmas Future is a silent character, but has the most important role to play. This is the character who really shows Scrooge the error of his ways and teaches him that if he does not change his ways, the future is grim.
Supporting. Mrs. Cratchit is the loving mother of the 6 Cratchit children. She does all she can to make do for her family who is extremely poor.
Supporting. Lady 1 collects for the poor, meeting Scrooge at his office and asking him for a donation.
Featured. Lady 2 collects for the poor, meeting Scrooge at his office and asking him for a donation.
Supporting. Mr. Fezziwig is the kind man who gave Scrooge his start.
Supporting. Mrs. Fezziwig is the kind wife of the man who gave Ebenezer his first apprenticeship.
Featured. Emily was engaged to Ebenezer Scrooge when they were 18.
Featured. Martha is the oldest of the Cratchit children who comes home from the workhouse for Christmas to surprise her family.
