Actors for a new stage adaptation of best-selling album Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness and the accompanying The Amory Wars graphic novel. About the project: This production brings epic sci-fi saga to the stage, blending rock music, graphic novel elements, and innovative staging. It explores themes of love, heartbreak, and destiny through Claudio Kilgannon's journey in the Keywork. Rate: Pay is $600 per week with a an additional $150 weekly stipend for out of town actors. Housing and transportation is covered for out of town actors. Accommodation is shared on board the cruise. Additional info: Auditions by online submission, with in-person call backs in Miami and NYC. All backgrounds encouraged. Prepare 16 bars of a song from Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV and a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue. Rehearsals take place in Miami, FL. The reluctant son of Coheed and Cambria who must embrace his destiny as The Crowing to save Heaven's Fence, while Ryder is the tormented author whose personal demons drive him to enter his own narrative and alter its course, blurring the lines between creator and creation. Guitar player is a plus.
(Rock Mezzo-Soprano). The strong-willed ex-love interest of Ryder, A poised woman in her late 20s to mid-30s with a relatable elegance and subtle intensity who pays the ultimate price. Guitar player is a plus.
(Rock Mezzo-Soprano). A powerful celestial being and warrior who sacrifices her wings to mentor Claudio on his heroic path.
(Rock Baritenor). The tyrannical Supreme Tri-Mage who oppresses Heaven's Fence through manipulation and schemes, serving as the primary antagonist in the cosmic struggle for power.
(Rock Tenor). Ten-Speed is the personified manifestation of Ryder’s malevolent subconscious in the form of a bicycle, urging him toward destructive actions to resolve the narrative's conflicts. Experience with puppeteering is a plus.
(Rock Mezzo-Soprano). Chase is an IRO-bot created by Jesse Kilgannon with prophetic abilities to hear The Writer, delivering cryptic messages that foreshadow The Crowing's rise. A cosmic creation trapped in the body of a child. Experience with puppeteering is a plus.
(Rock Tenor). Versatile male performer to embody various inhabitants of this sci-fi world, including soldiers, rebels, and otherworldly figures, supporting the epic tale through dynamic singing, acting, and movement.
