"These Shining Lives" Stage Play Looking for Actors
Auditions for "These Shining Lives" play. In need of cast. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: These Shining Lives is based on the true story of Catherine Donohue and her friends, who painted watch dials in the Radium Dial factories of the 1920s and 1930s. What begins as a story of independence and friendship soon turns into a fight for justice after the women discover the devastating effects of radium poisoning. This moving and heartfelt play highlights resilience, courage, the power of community, and the strength to speak out against injustice. Note: The play, although inspired by real people and actual events, is a work of creative non-fiction. It moves between fact and fiction, between reality and imagination, to create a theatrical world. Additional info: Select readings from the script will be provided for you. No prepared monologues or scenes are needed. Bring a list of any and all rehearsal conflicts from Dec. 9 through Feb. 21. No performance conflicts will be allowed. Headshots and resumes are welcome and encouraged, but not required. Please download and complete the Audition Form attached.
