About the project: "Midnight Madness" is a touching romantic comedy set in Carley's hometown of Peterborough in 1985, called Ashburnham in the play. Wesley, a lonely salesman, and Anna, a feisty customer and former classmate, meet by chance at Bloom’s Furniture "going-out-of-business" sale near midnight. With honesty and wit, the characters look back at the 1970's and face the difficult high school memories that shaped their lives. Additional information: Location: Peterborough, ON. A business man, owner of the local, iconic furniture store about to retire and close the store, after 50 years; fond of his employee, Wesley; Russian-Jewish ancestry witty (speaks via the intercom in his office); is seen only at curtain call, but it’s a sweet role anyway.
