3 roles
A salesman at Bloom’s furniture store for the past 10 years, the store has become his safe, “belonging” place, Presbyterian background, principled, lonely (few dates), intelligent, quick-witted and clever with slogans
Struggled to become a lawyer (now about to set up shop); left Toronto to return to hometown; single mom with teenage son, Jason (Anna’s mother helped to raise him); 1970’s-spirited, lively, determined.
A business man, owner of the local, iconic furniture store about to retire and close the store, after 50 years; fond of his employee, Wesley; Russian-Jewish ancestry witty (speaks via the intercom in his office); is seen only at curtain call, but it’s a sweet role anyway.
