Bank Teller. Married. A little ditzy but well-meaning.
The youngest of the Bank Tellers. Highly intelligent and taking night courses to better her circumstances and "break out of the neighborhood". In love with her professor.
Bank Teller, hides out in the bathroom smoking. She has a way of getting through to Sal and calming him.
The Bank Manager. This is his kingdom.
Plainclothes detective. He lives in the neighborhood, he's an alcoholic, he's in over his head but trying to pull off a miracle and save the day.
FBI Agent, Dry. Witty. He is the law and he does his job. Sonny describes him as reminding him of "his high school gym teacher, you know, the All-American type".

Sonny's psychologically scarred, well-intentioned but clearly unstable accomplice and "muscle". He agrees to do the robbery out of love and loyalty for Sonny but does so only with the understanding and agreement from Sonny that if things go south, they will both honor a suicide pact & go out guns a blazing. Sal is pathologically determined to never go back to prison.
