Down-to-earth and earnest, Jason is a working-class guy trying to stay optimistic despite losing his job. He hides his struggles under a lighthearted, upbeat exterior, but his desperation to hold on to both his relationship and sense of control makes him vulnerable. Needs an actor comfortable with both emotional scenes and physical action. Note: Must be comfortable with intense physical sequences (running, being grabbed, etc.).
Intelligent, sharp, and outspoken, Lisa is frustrated with Jason’s secrecy and financial struggles. While she initially comes off as skeptical and dismissive of the cabin, she proves decisive and independent. Hides her own secrets beneath her blunt honesty. Note: Needs an actor comfortable with both dramatic confrontation and horror elements.
