Auditions for Musical "Evil Dead"

Auditions for "Evil Dead" Directors are looking for actors, please see the details below Additional info: All auditioners are asked to prepare two contrasting 16-32 bar song selections in the style of the show. Songs from the show are welcome, but not required. All songs should be memorized and you must provide music for the accompanist, even if singing from the show. Please make sure your music is clearly marked and contained in a three ring binder or something easily accessible for the accompanist. If necessary, call backs will be via invitation on Monday, Sept 15th from 7-10pm. Call back materials will be sent with your invitation and may include song and scene selections from the show. You should also be prepared to do cold readings, a dance call, and learn additional musical material from the show. Rehearsals will be held three times per week starting Wednesday,Sept 17th. All conflicts must be listed on the audition form (filled out at the audition) and no additional conflicts will be accepted once casting is complete, unless for emergencies. Conflicts during sitzprobe, tech week, or for a performance may affect casting decisions. Rehearsals will primarily be Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evenings. A complete rehearsal schedule will be distributed at auditions. The show will run for eight performances Dec 5-14, including two 11pm shows. Additional performances or partner events such as meet and greets with the cast may be added. Rehearsals and performances will be at Footlighters Theater - 58 Main Ave, Berwyn, PA. Footlighters of Berwyn is a volunteer, membership based organization, all roles are open and non-paid. If cast in this production, you must be willing to become a member of Footlighters Theater (due: $25.00 adult or $15.00 senior\child\student). Membership benefits include voting rights in the annual Board elections. Cast members are also expected to contribute to other aspects of production, including but not limited to, building and painting sets, soliciting for ads and donations, and sourcing costumes and props. Some of the set builds will be included in the rehearsal schedule and are mandatory. Others will be on a volunteer basis. To be considered, please apply.

Ash’s dorky sister who turns into a brash, foul-mouthed demon Vocal range: G3-Ab5
A brilliant archaeologist, also plays Shelly, a ditzy airhead. Vocal range: Ab3-C6
A guy who they meet in the woods. Vocal range: G2-B4
Ash’s perfect girlfriend who loses her head by the end of the show Vocal range: G3-E5
Ash’s crude best friend. He’s an a**hole, but the kind of a**hole you love. Gender: male Vocal range: C3-Bb4
Annie’s boyfriend who can’t get a word in, also plays Moose. Vocal range: A2-G#4
This role is basically all of the small roles in the show: Knowby, Airport Announcer, the Severed Hand, Linda’s Headless Body, the Evil Force, etc. Note: This role is optional, and if the director desires, these small roles can be divided up amongst the other actors in the show.
