Male Chicano, Middle Aged Father of 3. Kinda doofy with a heart of gold. Billy tries to do what he thinks is best for his family by staying in the US with his children even though the love of his life and the mother of his children is stuck in Mexico.

Mexican, Mother of 3 and wife of Billy. Loving, strong, stuck in Mexico trying to do the best by her family. Mostly un-seen, this important role won't require a lot of line learning because much of her dialogue is from offstage via phone.

Chicano: Wants to live the American dream. Become a marine and raise a family. However on his 18th birthday finds out he's not legal and must contend with the fall out. Holds lots of anger but grows as a person through the play.

Very smart and strong-willed. Middle child The valedictorian of her class Eva takes the place of her mother running the house, cooking the meals, buying the groceries, taking care of the men despite her schooling and youth. Full of love and vulnerability she holds the family together.

Chicano: The youngest sibling: sensitive and nerdy. Loves science and just wants mom to come home. Losses his innocence by the end of the play but must come across as youthful and innocent at first.
