Seeking Cast for Upcoming Play "Noises Off"
"Noises Off" stage play casting actors. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Synopsis: NOISES OFF is a riotous backstage comedy that pulls back the curtain on what really goes on behind the scenes of a theatre production. A second-rate acting troupe is trying — and failing — to hold together a terrible British farce called NOTHING ON. During rehearsals, lines are forgotten, doors won’t open (or won’t stay shut), and props keep disappearing. By the time we see the show from backstage, the actors are tangled in romantic rivalries, petty feuds, and total chaos — all while trying to pretend everything is perfectly normal out front. It’s a fast-paced, door-slamming, laugh-out-loud mess in the best possible way! Additional info: The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. British accents are needed for this show, so please use one during the audition. Physical comedy is prevalent, so include on your audition form if you’ve had any experience or training. Call backs (if needed) will be September 16. Rehearsals start late September and run through mid-January. You need to include any conflicts on the audition form, since the schedule will be made around the casts’ conflicts. Shows run Thursdays through Sundays, January 16 – February 1, with the possibility of added Sunday evenings and an added weekend. If you are interested, please apply.
