About the project: Elektra, Sophokles’ powerful tale of religion, justice, revenge, and the struggle between blood and law, was given fresh life by the controversial poet Ezra Pound in the aftermath of World War II. This rarely seen American version of Greek Tragedy challenges us to ask hard questions about our families, our society, and ourselves. Rate: $100-$300 Stipend Additional info: Material to Prepare: Submit a 1-2 minute classical (non-Shakespeare) monologue as well as a 1-2 minute monologue of your choice. Time Commitment: Rehearsals will take place in Forest Park, IL. Performances will be at Madison Street Theater in Oak Park, IL.
