About the project: A landmark in American drama, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town tells the story of a small town, Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, to tell us the story of every town, the whole world over. Narrated by the “Stage Manager”, we follow the Gibbs and Webb families, residents of Grover’s Corners, through twelve years of life and its changes. Wilder delivers universal truths about what it means to be human. With humor, wit, and exceptionally powerful storytelling, Our Town offers a unique opportunity for audience members to make precisely that realization. Additional info: Production Dates: November 14 – 30, 2025 (12 Performances Total) Rehearsal Start Date: Monday, September 22, 2025 (Monday – Friday from 7:00 – 10:00 pm) What to Prepare: Directors encourage actors of all identities, experiences, and backgrounds to audition. Roles may be cast in a non-traditional or color-conscious manner to reflect our inclusive vision for the production. Our goal is to represent the richness and variety of our community on stage. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Actors may be asked to play multiple roles, including ensemble parts. Please bring a headshot and resume if available.
