About the project: When a would-be defector comes knocking at his door, a young cellist training for a life-changing audition must decide between freedom and obeying his militant North Korean father. Rate: All roles are paid, Housing and travel will be paid for as well as you will get credit, meals, and a copy of the film. Additional info: UT Student indie film. Shooting Dates: November 14th - 17th and 21st - 25th. Shooting Location: East Texas or the general Texas area. All Korean Characters must be FLUENT in Korean. A military general with a strong-man attitude. He is a traditionalist and will take any measure to protect his son, Jeongsu, from what he perceives to be a threat. He thrives on control and seeks to mold Jeongsu into a prodigy. *NOTE* - There is one scene where Daegwon is in his underwear.
The ghost of Jeongsu's mother who desperately wants to set her son on the right path. From the afterlife, she tries to call out to him and alert him of Daegwon's wrongdoings. *NOTE* - Will have scenes with heavy makeup/prosthetics/sfx/fake blood
