"White Christmas" Musical Needs Performers
Auditions for beloved holiday musical "White Christmas". In need of cast. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Celebrate the holidays with this classic musical full of unforgettable songs like “White Christmas,” “Sisters,” and “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep.” This heartwarming story mixes romance, comedy, and fantastic dance numbers, including tap! Rate: Roles are unpaid volunteer positions. Additional info: Audition Schedule: Aug 15 – Dance only & cold read Aug 16 – Vocal only & cold read What to Prepare: Please bring a 1-minute vocal piece in the style of the show (think classic Broadway – Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, etc.). A Bluetooth speaker will be available for your backing track (no accompanist provided). For dance auditions, please bring tap shoes if you have them. Important Notes: On-stage kissing is required for Bob, Betty, Judy, and Phil as it adds to the romance of this show. Two separate ensembles with featured opportunities — please audition for the ensemble that best suits your strengths. Vocal Range: C3 – A4. Featured Songs: “Happy Holidays,” “White Christmas,” “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep. Audition Notes: Excellent vocalist and mover; on-stage kissing is required.
Vocal Range: A2 – F4. Featured Songs: “The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing,” “Sisters (Reprise). Audition Notes: Strong singer and dancer; tap required or must commit to learn tap combos; on-stage kissing is required.
Vocal Range: A3 – F5. Featured Songs: “Sisters,” “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep". Audition Notes: Rich chest mix with soprano extensions; on-stage kissing is required.
Vocal Range: G3 – E5. Featured Songs: “Sisters,” “The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing,” “Snow”. Audition Notes: Major song/dance role; strong chest mix; tap proficient and able to retain multiple tap combos; on-stage kissing is required.
Non-singing role requiring strong stage presence and clear diction.
Vocal Range: G3 – D5. Featured Songs: “Let Me Sing and I'm Happy,” “Falling Out of Love Can Be Fun”. Audition Notes: Must be a strong singer and actress with excellent comedic timing.
(8–10 dancers) focuses on dance & tap (tap required or willingness to learn). No solo singing required but must be able to sing in group numbers. Featured dancers will have solo dance moments. Will have featured speaking roles and solo opportunities.
(5 singers) requires strong singers comfortable with harmony & blending (the “Quintet”). Basic movement skills needed, no heavy dance required. Featured solo singing opportunities. Will have featured speaking roles and solo opportunities.
