5 roles
Lead role. A young lawyer struggling with grief, burnout, and unresolved trauma from his father’s emotional distance. Deeply introspective, emotionally intense, and carries the narrative. Performance range: Must convey vulnerability, emotional breakdown, and subtle internal conflict.
Supporting role. James’s co-worker and close friend. Supportive, grounded, emotionally intelligent. Provides comic relief at times, but also serves as James’s emotional anchor. Performance range: Warm, natural, grounded.
Supporting role. James’s ex-girlfriend. Intelligent, patient, but emotionally worn. Performance range: Requires emotional nuance, especially in arguments.
James’s emotionally distant father. Performance range: Calm, soft-spoken but impactful delivery.
