Actors Needed for "The 39 Steps" Play Audition

The theater is currently in need of performers for the "The 39 Steps" play. Please, see the details below. About the project: Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre! This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, and some good old-fashioned romance! Additional information: Bring a list of all schedule conflicts Sides will be provided at the audition Walk-ins only; no appointments Callbacks (if necessary) Tuesday, August 19, 7:00-9:00 pm Rehearsals: September 8-October 16, 2025 Monday-Thursday, 7:00-9:30 pm (ish) Pick-up rehearsal (if necessary) TBD Cast call 6:30 pm final week of rehearsals and performances Performances: October 17-26, 2025 Friday, Saturday 7:30 pm; Sunday 2:30 pm Cast call 6:30 pm final week of rehearsals and performances General Rules All actors and crew members must be available for rehearsals, tech week, and performance dates. Any rehearsal conflicts MUST be discussed and approved prior to audition. Tech week and show dates are mandatory. Everyone is expected to be on time. The directors will start on time and try to leave on time, but you have to show up ready to do your part. It is recommended you show up at least 10 minutes early for rehearsal to prepare—costume days even sooner. Let’s all respect each other’s valuable time. The Director has the final say in all matters. Please respect their vision and “big picture” of the performance. Suggestions are welcome, but in the end, it is the Director’s decision. DO NOT ask other actors for advice on your performance. While they mean well, they can ruin the overall big picture. Respect each other. No political or religious discussions. Be polite. Finally, have fun. This is a fun, comedy performance.
