"Pygmalion" Audition for the Theater
Seeking cast for production of "Pygmalion". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: Synopsis: A snobby phonetics professor, Henry Higgins, bets he can transform a common flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, into a duchess by teaching her to speak properly. Hilarity and social commentary ensue as Eliza navigates high society and eventually asserts her independence, proving that true class comes from within. Rate: Compensation: $200 stipend for 10-show run (rehearsals not paid). Additional info: Audition Requirements: - 1-2 minute comedic monologue (in a British Proper or Cockney accent, of course!) - Sing either the "Alphabet" or "Happy Birthday" song (again, in your chosen British accent) - Please bring a copy of your headshot & resume.
