About the musical: Mamma Mia! is an upbeat musical set in Kalokairi, a mythical Greek island. A daughter’s quest to find her father before her imminent wedding brings three potential fathers from her mother’s past back to Kalokairi, the island they visited 20 years earlier. Additional information: Mamma Mia! Performances will be held in London, ON. May 27, 2026 (evening) – Community Preview/Dress rehearsal May 28, 2026 (evening) – Paid Preview/Dress Rehearsal May 29, 2026 (evening) – Opening Night May 30, 2026 (afternoon) May 31, 2026 (afternoon) June 4, 2026 (evening) June 5, 2026 (evening) June 6, 2026 (afternoon) June 7, 2026 (afternoon). Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Friday, November, 14, 2025 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Audition Preparation: Everyone is asked to sing a contemporary musical theater or pop music song. Please do not sing a song written or performed by ABBA. This is your chance to show us what you’ve got! Music Requirements: Your intended, instrumental music accompaniment should please be confirmed in your audition request. Your options include: You can bring sheet music and our pianist will accompany you Sing unaccompanied (directors can give you a starting note) Use an instrumental, backing track played from your phone Dance Requirements: Following your singing audition, you will be asked to participate in a group movement session to determine dance ability. Please dress comfortably. Rehearsals: A full cast read-through will be conducted Monday, December 8, 2025, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Rehearsals will commence in January, 2026 and will occur Sunday afternoons or evenings, Monday and Wednesday evenings. A detailed, rehearsal schedule will be available during auditions. The full cast will not be required at every rehearsal. Directors do expect the cast to make themselves available for each rehearsal day as schedules scenes/music/dance may change due to rehearsal requirements. If you're interested, please apply.

Principal Character. Donna is single parent to Sophie, and the owner of a hotel on the mythical, Greek island of Kalokairi. She was the lead singer of the group Donna and the Dynamos.

Principal Character. Donna’s fiery, daughter, Sophie is determined to have the father she’s never met, walk her down the aisle at her wedding to her fiancé Sky. Sophie is energetic, idealistic, has lived in Kalokairi her entire life and is ready to see the world with Sky.

Rosie MulliganFemale40-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Principal Character. Rosie is a former member of the Dynamos and, along with Tanya, is one of Donna’s best friends. Rosie is unmarried, free-spirited and a well-known author. She is a mostly comic character, demonstrating a funny, self-deprecating exterior but is actually somewhat shy.

Tanya Cresham-LeighFemale40-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Principal Character. Like Rosie, Tanya, is a former member of the Dynamos and one of Donna’s best friends. She has been married multiple times to wealthy men. Tanya is rich, sophisticated, outgoing and witty, and easily flirts with younger men. She is genuinely caring about Donna and Sophie.

Sam CarmichaelMale40-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Principal Character. Sam, is one of Sophie’s potential fathers. He is an architect, divorced and has never forgotten Donna. He is confident, straight forward, composed and glad to have a second chance to connect with Donna.

Harry BrightMale40-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Principal Character. Harry is another of Sophie’s potential fathers. He was once a head-banging musician who has since become a respected banker. Harry is somewhat quirky, gay and something of a romantic. He is a nice guy who wants to make up for his absence from Sophie’s life.

Bill AustenMale40-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Principal Character. Bill is another of Sophie’s potential fathers, Bill (age 40-50) is a well known, travel/adventure writer. He is quite a comedic character, who has generally avoided the complexities of a relationship but has a big heart.

Feature Character. Sky is Sophie’s fiancée who came to Kalokairi as part of a life quest. He adores Sophie and is eager to please but ideally would like her to join him seeing the world.

Feature Character. Ali & Lisa are friends of Sophie who have travelled to Kalokairi for Sophie’s wedding. They are fun-loving, bubbly and excited to be Sophie’s attendants at the wedding.
