"The Sound of Music" Musical Needs Cast
Talent for the roles in November production of "The Sound of Music". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. Additional info: Please plan to stay for the length of the audition timeframe. Talent will be released by the audition monitor as quickly as possible. WHAT TO PREPARE: Liesel & Rolf, please bring one 32-bar cut from any golden age musical. Sides for reading will be provided at the audition. You may sing from the show if preferred. PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE & CALENDAR: One performance on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Adult talent must be available November 1-15, 2025. Most rehearsals in the evenings and on weekends. Male-presenting, the Von Trapp butler, rather formal but not without spirit, he is very German and loyal to the Fascist cause. May be asked to sing ensemble as needed.
Female-presenting, the housekeeper, stoic, very little personality; she does her job efficiently but without affection. May be asked to sing ensemble as needed.
Male-presenting, stern and unsmiling, a typical Nazi official. May be asked to sing ensemble as needed.
Male-presenting, neighbor of the Von Trapps and one of the “Old Guards” of Austria, strongly opposes the takeover of his beloved country by Nazi Germany. May be asked to sing ensemble as needed.
Female-presenting, a neighbor of Captain Von Trapp and wife to the Baron Elberfeld. May be asked to sing ensemble as needed.
Male-presenting, important figure in the Austrian Navy turned Nazi. May be asked to sing ensemble as needed.
