About the project: A group of friends ventures into the woods for a carefree day at the lake - but something ancient and vengeful watches from the trees. Known to locals as The Compass Man, a supernatural killer with a hook for a hand and a cracked mask marked by a compass symbol, stalks them one by one. A throwback to ’80s slashers with modern terror, told entirely in the daylight. Rate: Non-paid (Credit, meals, footage for reel provided). Additional info: Shoot Location: Palestine, Texas. (Lead) Confident, tough, and protective. The grounded one of the group, he tries to hold things together as everything falls apart. Shows fear, leadership, and emotional pain.
(Lead) Strong-minded and compassionate. Riley is the heart of the group and fiercely determined to survive. This is a final girl-style role with emotional depth.
(Supporting) Witty, sharp-tongued, and a little impulsive. She has emotional layers and a strained history with Alex. Perfect for an actor who can show both strength and vulnerability.
(Supporting) A moody, complicated friend with a troubled past. Has tension with Maya. Requires someone who can show emotional breakdowns and inner turmoil.
(Old Man Jenkins) (Supporting) A mysterious local who’s seen the worst of the woods. Grizzled, paranoid, but knows something the others don’t. Classic harbinger character with a twist.
(Supporting) Jenkins’ grandson. Young, bold, and a bit skeptical. Loyal and caught in something far bigger than he understands.
(Villain) Supernatural killer. Wears a long Western duster coat full of bullet holes and a mask with a compass symbol. Has a demon-like hook for a hand. No lines — purely physical and menacing performance.
