Our protagonist is smart and well-meaning but has always been too awkward and boring to hold the attention of his peers, let alone a crowd. Nice, but the type to accidentally say a mean thing he doesn’t mean on the playground in order to gain the acceptance of the group. Begins as a Mr Molesley of Downton Abbey or early Nathan Shelley of Ted Lasso, but will shift towards a Jamie Dutton of Yellowstone or later Nathan Shelley of Ted Lasso.
The loving wife of PETER. Endlessly fond of his awkward antics. Spunky but supportive.
The high school best friend of PETER and a member of his staff. A grown up frat boy; the kind of friend whose comments towards his alleged best friend are always so antagonistic everyone wonders why they’re still friends. The friendship you justify with, “ yeah he’s kind of a jerk, but we’ve been friends since preschool.”
A smug, mysterious suit who pulls PETER’s string from the shadows.
Naive and idealistic, fresh out of Political Theory 400 and new to the real world of politics, he believes in the ideals that Peter stands for more than anyone. Perpetually wrinkled shirt and frumpy hair, moves like a puppy that hasn’t grown into its feet yet.
