About the project: SYNOPSIS: With a score that hits hard and a story that hits deep, Dear Evan Hansen is about our search for connection. When high schooler Evan tells a lie that spirals into viral fame, he’s forced to choose between truth and belonging. Rate: LOA $816 weekly minimum (Ref. to LORT) - 2024-25 rates Additional info: Please prepare a short cut of a song in the style of the show that shows off your vocal range. Rehearsals begin: March 17th, 2026 Performances begin: April 8th, 2026 Closes: May 31st, 2026 6-7 performances per week: Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm See the attahcment for details. Male identifying, To play 17. Smart, sincere, and excruciatingly self-conscious, Evan prefers to hover in the background, too afraid to step forward into the spotlight and risk ridicule or, what might be worse, no one noticing him at all. A strong pop tenor: G2-B4.
Female Identifying, To play 16. Sensitive and sophisticated with a sharp sense of humor, one of those popular kids who doesn’t care and doesn’t play the high school social status games. Zoe is troubled by the ambivalence she feels over her brother’s death. Pop Soprano: F3-E5.
Female Identifying, To play 17. Earnest to a fault, prone to and thrives on melodrama all of which hides a deeper loneliness and insecurity beneath an ever-present smile and an almost aggressive friendliness. Pop Soprano: F3-E5.
Male Identifying, To play 17. An angry and disaffected loner, Connor has been a troubled kid for as long as anyone can remember. He is approached with caution by his peers and is a mystery to his parents. Pop Bari-Tenor: G2-G4.
