Actors Needed for "Moonbeam" Proof of Concept in NJ
Casting multiple roles for the proof of concept for upcoming feature film "Moonbeam". ONLY LOCAL & NY TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. Rate: All roles are paid, and cast will be fed twice a day, and provided snacks throughout the day. Additional info: This is a low budget short film to help get buzz around the future feature film. Many of these roles are also in the feature film, and participating in the proof of concept can give you the chance to be in the feature film as well. The feature length screenplay has already won an award at the Rutherford Film Festival. The shoot will take place on August 17th and 18th in North NJ during the day. The exact times are still being determined. NJ/NYC based actors may apply. Supporting. Mrs. Mcalister throws a gala to raise money for the local foster care annually. Despite appearing as a do-gooder, she doesn't practice what she preaches, especially when given the opportunity to help homeless people. She knows she is beautiful, and always dresses to the nines.
Supporting. Winifred is a witty and wise homeless woman that crosses paths with homeless teen Moonbeam, showing her that kind people exist.
Supporting. The Stranger is a cool, lower middle class girl who dresses in the trendiest clothes, and struts around town like she is the boss. Although she lives in a small town, she has a city girl vibe. At the surface, she seems like a mean girl, but in reality she just wants to fit in, and wears her trends like war paint.
Featured. The Cashier is sassy, edgy and easily annoyed with her customers. She works at the thrift store because it's the only job she could get that lets her look however she wants.
