About the project: Trish, late 40s, leads a monotonous life as an accounting technician in a dehumanizing firm. Once passionate about archaeology, she now finds meaning only in her bond with her niece Andrea and a struggling community dojo run by the principled Sensei Sami. Outraged by corporate greed, Trish secretly embezzles funds to save the dojo. Her indignation draws the attention of Stanley, an undercover agent investigating her corrupt bosses. Torn between exposing them and protecting herself, Trish ultimately chooses truth over fear. Though her confession strains her relationship with Sami, his eventual forgiveness and admiration restore her sense of worth. PRINCIPAL ROLE. Reserved and obedient, Florence is Trish's youngest colleague. They both work for Kowalski, Doucette and Kippen firm. She is a meticulous, introverted accounting technician. She avoids conflict and prefers to stay under the radar, but her attention to detail makes her indispensable. Though she is the opposite of Trish in temperament, the two women share a surprising and genuine complicity built on quiet solidarity. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. Kowalski is the senior partner and founder of the financial firm KKD, an old- school businessman who values results above all else, especially financial ones. He is a man of discipline and control, both of which are tested by his personal life. At home, he struggles to support his wife, a fragile and neurotic woman battling depression, doing his best to keep both his marriage and his empire intact.

Neurotic and often overwhelmed, she has reinvented herself as an interior decorator, a venture largely financed by her husband. PRINCIPAL ROLE. Dal is a warm-hearted Korean Canadian businessman who owns a popular Korean BBQ restaurant. Generous and community-minded, he supports the dojo where his son trains, even though the boy has little natural talent.
