Open Roles in a Feature Film "Trish"

SUPPORTING LEAD. Sami is a calm, principled man of Egyptian origin who runs a modest community dojo that serves as a sanctuary for kids and adults alike. He inherited the dojo from his late father and carries on the legacy with quiet strength. Deeply respected in the neighborhood, Sami is more than a martial arts instructor, he’s a mentor, a guide, and a pillar of integrity in a world that often lacks it which is completely in line with Trish fundamental convictions.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. A good looking Haitian man with a lot of swag and effortless charisma. Mr. Antoine is a so called client of the financial advising company where Trish works. He's actually an undercover investigator for Revenue Canada who's trying to turn Trish against her employer. May or may not have a French or Haitian accent.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. Reserved and obedient, Florence is Trish's youngest colleague. They both work for Kowalski, Doucette and Kippen firm. She is a meticulous, introverted accounting technician. She avoids conflict and prefers to stay under the radar, but her attention to detail makes her indispensable. Though she is the opposite of Trish in temperament, the two women share a surprising and genuine complicity built on quiet solidarity. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. Kowalski is the senior partner and founder of the financial firm KKD, an old- school businessman who values results above all else, especially financial ones. He is a man of discipline and control, both of which are tested by his personal life. At home, he struggles to support his wife, a fragile and neurotic woman battling depression, doing his best to keep both his marriage and his empire intact.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. KKD's youngest partner who also acts as Trish's boss. Besides his respectful position at the firm, he is a real jerk. IOW he's loud, brash, and unapologetically inappropriate. He thrives on attention, often crossing professional boundaries with a grin. His behavior masks a deep insecurity, but he’d never admit it, not even to himself. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. Kippen is the firm’s quiet partner, a numbers man through and through. Reserved and analytical, he rarely speaks unless necessary. Heis the kind of person who blends into the background, until the numbers say otherwise.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. Mrs. Kowalski is a wealthy, fragile woman struggling with insecurity and emotional instability. Neurotic and often overwhelmed, she has reinvented herself as an interior decorator, a venture largely financed by her husband. Behind her polished exterior lies a woman prone to depression and searching desperately for purpose and validation. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. Dal is a warm-hearted Korean Canadian businessman who owns a popular Korean BBQ restaurant. Generous and community-minded, he supports the dojo where his son trains, even though the boy has little natural talent. Dal’s pride in his son and his quiet support of the dojo reflect his belief in a strong work ethic.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. The main receptionist at Kowalski, Doucette and Kippen firm. As a good receptionist she knows how to be both friendly and firm. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

PRINCIPAL ROLE. A clerk who assists Trish at a Luxury Lamps shop after Mrs Kowalski asked her to go pick up a lamp she ordered for the office redecoration. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

A student and older friend of Andrea who's part of her judo team. He's described as a man-child who always shows a perpetual smirk when he fights with girls or younger opponents. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.

One of Trish's coworkers at the Kowalski, Doucette and Kippen's firm. She's described as a homely woman who exudes warmth and reliability.

The master of ceremony at a poetry open mic event taking place in a bar in Waterloo. His job is to motivate the crowd to come on stage to read poetry in front of everybody.

A bartender in Waterloo who's more interested in impressing the female clients than meeting the customers needs.

A pleasant casher at the bank who helps Trish deposit a check. May or may not have a French (from Qc) accent.
