Theater Audition for "Rotterdam" Play
Seeking performers for production of "Rotterdam". More details are below. About the play: In Rotterdam, Alice is finally ready to tell her parents she's gay. But just as she prepares the email, her girlfriend Fiona reveals that she wants to transition and live as Adrian. As Adrian begins his journey, Alice must face how this impacts her own identity and their relationship. Winner of the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre, Rotterdam is a heartfelt and bittersweet comedy about gender, sexuality, and finding yourself. Additional information: Callbacks: Thursday August 7, 2025 at 7:00pm. Performance Dates: January 9, 10, 15, 16, 22, 23, and 24, 2026 at 8pm January 11, 17, 18, and 24, 2026 at 2pm. Rehearsals: 3 times a week. Audition Expectations: Appointments are not necessary. This will be a cold-read. On the audition day, there will be specific scene readings available to review for each character. Photos and CV's are not necessary, but come prepared to fill out an information sheet that includes your character audition choices and a brief history of your work.

Transmasculine: Alice's partner. Impulsive, passionate, funny. Comes out as trans during the play.
Female-presenting. Alice's confident and flirtatious Dutch coworker. Open and expressive, with a vibrant energy.
Male-presenting. Fiona/Adrian's brother and Alice's ex. Warm and affable, a peacemaker with emotional depth.
